Are You Past Irrational Fear?
by compound complex ingreetings, friends:.
the central theme of a film i viewed last night is 'a life lived in fear is a life half lived.'.
apart from normal fears, have you, for the most part, eliminated irrational concerns and worries from your life?.

I'm working on it. I used to have anxiety and panic attacks all the time especially at the kingdom hall. they faded away as I faded.
Things that still bther me- closed in places like elevators, crowds, and I don't like clowns or ventriloquist's dummies at all. I avoid these things whenever possible. Is that irrational?

My father had a little Caputin monkey when he was younger. Said it was always getting into everything. But it was tiny and trained.
Chimps are a whole other matter, very few people have the time or resources to take proper care of them They just aren't pets IMO.
Pitbulls are good pets when they're raised properly. Any breed dog can attack. Golden retrievers bite more people than any other breed but people still have them for family pets.

A couple times a year we have homemade Polish sausge, sauerkraut and pirogies. My friend makes it himself and it tastes sooo good.
I'm not Polish but we live near a Polish community and every year there is a huge Dyngus Day celebration the day after Easter. The food is heavenly!!

Hello to all, can I have a moment of your time? Thanks!! from Truth and Justice
by Truth and Justice inthought i would properly introduce myself, being that i have posted here about 6 or 7 times since march of 2008. i do not want to create any sense of insecurity among the guests.. my name is truth and justice.
i have been reading this website since march of 2008 with great interest.
many times i have wanted to write and kept putting it off, because i just did not know how to put my thoughts on paper, especially when millions of people will read what i have written.

Hi Truth and Justice
Thanks for sharing your story with us. One of the things that first pened up my eyes was seeing people put through such pain for following their own conscience.
My family is fractured too, I'm hoping that some day we will be reunited.
Thank you for the scripture from Jeremiah, I never thought of it that way. Maybe I can use it with my husband.

Watchtower Speech Taboos - Censorship by Ommision
by unclebruce inbahbuttons said: another time i accidently told a kid god bless you in the kh and you'd think i just said every swear word known to man with the looks i got from everyone....another embaressing moment that was.............fond memories eh,lolquoteendquoteeend.
th is an interesting point.
apostates always bang on about watchtower double speak and the way the society twists words, investing them with mind-control triggers but rarely do we hear about censorship by omission, the words jw's can't speak.

No child baptisms. Minimum age of 25 before a person would be able to be baptized, or even better make it 30 to imitate Jesus.
Well that wouldn't make it mainstream but it would be a huge improvement.
